Located in the heart of London’s bustling Clerkenwell district, the Mohawk Group showroom has had a major makeover.
As international experts in flooring, Mohawk Group chose collections that not only look good and deliver outstanding performance but are also good for our planet.
Jeroom Van Lindt, Mohawk Group, EMEA Product and Marketing Manager, explains, “As custodians of flooring in so many workplaces around the world, it was essential that we made the right choice for our flagship office and showroom in London. We’ve installed a selection of our favourite collections across the three floors, zoning areas using colour and design. Our new Pattern collection takes pride of place as you enter our showroom. As well as good adaptable designs, its essential we provide the most sustainable solution to create a positive impact for the environment. We do this in partnership with Universal Fibers® by using their innovative Thrive® matter yarn in our collections”.
Mohawk Group’s new Pattern Collection provides the perfect solution to the agility required in today’s workplace interior design, whilst delivering unrivalled sustainability credentials. Shortlisted for Flooring Product of The Year in 2024 Mix Awards, Van Lindt shared the inspiration behind the collection,
“The three designs within Pattern are inspired by our unique responses to ways individuals work and thrive. Whether we’re seeking the sense of security provided by structure and routine, the ability to flex with the task in hand or to work wherever and whenever; Pattern interprets these experiences in structured carpet tiles. Made with Universal Fibers® innovative Thrive® matter yarn system with the lowest embodied carbon in the world (1,2 kg C02 eq.), the collection is made on our 1/12” Infinity machines. This allows us to create the highest definition in design, while using less raw materials versus similar products in the market and lowering our impact on the environment”.
Pattern premium carpet tiles are a perfect blend of innovation and wellbeing, designed to elevate commercial projects with both style and comfort. With the structured loop piles of Pattern, you can create workspace interiors grounded in routine, balance or freedom. The palette of 16 pastel- like hues evoke a sense of tranquility and grace. The colours work in harmony to suite the personality and ambience each area within a workplace.
Anna Plumb, Universal Fibers VP of Marketing and Sales for Europe adds, “We value our long- standing relationship with the Mohawk Group, and we are thrilled with both the launch of their new Pattern Collection and their beautiful showroom refresh. As Mohawk Group continues to build on their commitment in offering sustainable, low carbon products to the market with Thrive® matter, we are supporting our mutual environmental objectives in partnership”.
Pattern Collection Explained
Balanced has a strong sense of routine and rhythm – a relationship with work that has rules and boundaries. A settled and structured look to reflect a personality seeking order in their working lives, Balanced brings a sense of comfort of order to workspaces.
Tailored explores a self-controlled way of working. Inspired by personalities with the agility to flex between task and collaboration and the ability to find freedom in working patterns. It takes on the ground between opposing ends of the spectrum.
Unchained is an expressive pattern for personalities that put freedom before all else – nomads who roam and experience work in all kinds of places. The flowing and freeform pattern adds a layer of vivid texture seeking out the liberty of a freeform attitude.
