Ranae Anderson of Universal Fibers Receives Women in Sustainability Leadership Award from Green Building & Design Magazine

Universal Fibers® is pleased to announce Ranae Anderson, Global Sustainability Leader, as recipient of the Green Building & Design (gb&d) Women in Sustainability Leadership Award (WSLA). gb&d, the magazine for today’s leading eco-professionals, created the award to celebrate the achievements of women who are making a positive impact in sustainability and strive to identify, support and foster opportunities for future women in leadership. This year, Ranae is one of eleven women globally to be recognized for this very prestigious honor.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges including Chris Howe and Laura Heidenreich of Green Building & Design, Rochelle Routman of Halstead International and Metroflor and Amanda Sturgeon, CEO of International Living Future Institute. The 11 winners were celebrated at gb&d's annual WSLA gala which took place during the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Chicago, Illinois.

"The ultimate goal of the award is to create a global central hub that identifies and advances top-level female sustainability leaders who can then, in turn, support younger women with dreams of reaching such levels of success," said Chris Howe, publisher and CEO of gb&d. "We hope this can be a platform for women who are creating lasting change to act as role models for those who might just be starting their career," added Laura Heidenreich, the magazine's president and associate publisher.

"To be included with this esteemed group of WSLA winners as well as the winners from previous years is an incredible honor and I am extremely proud to be recognized.” said Ranae Anderson. "I wish to thank gb&d and the panel of judges for this award and perhaps more importantly for their steadfast commitment to advance sustainability and environmental stewardship in the design build industry."
