Resource Conservation

Universal Fibers'℠ commitment to sustainability includes more than resource conservation and recycling. We consider everything from raw materials composition, waste from manufacturing, and energy used for production, to delivery and regular use. For example, Universal Fibers knows that material weight impacts energy consumption and carbon footprint. As a solution, we offer the lightest fiber weights in the industry.

The two most significant negative environmental concerns in fiber manufacturing are scrap waste and use of electricity. This year, with the implementation of new innovative technology and programs, we will reduce scrap and energy consumption by as much as one third. Universal Fibers will continue to lead adopting proven methods of sustainable and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes as resource conservation technology continues to advance.
